A conflation of "spokesperson" and "chicken" resulting from attempts to speak while under the influence of sleep deprivation, a persisting theme in my life.

Playing with oils
I've also started painting again. This painting is actually about 16x20 in and is the first time I've picked up paint for around ten years. I like it! It's not done yet, but I wanted to share it anyway.
Punkin! :) You know that I have never liked abstract, and I know that you always have. But I like this! and I'll tell you why, my very first impression was, "she's painted a sunrise garden through leaded glass." very nice Punkin :) (you know who :) xo)
We have one of your rare paintings on Monhegan Island! It's abstract too, and we love it. Is there a story to this one? Tho abstract, it seems to have a lovely internal organization.
I've ssn this before! I thought you'd posted a new one. Oh well, I didn't comment before, did I? I frickin' love this, Linz. Honestly, --better than Arlene Simon, (and up til now, she was my favorite mid-century moderne, American, abstract impressionist). Your mom's impression. that it looks like a "sunrise garden through leaded glass" is very apt and expressive (of both the painting and herself). Without trying to force specific content or context on it, I have to say this painting really conveys the FEELING of what your mom described most compellingly. It is beautiful and evocative of just such a scene, but equally and more abstractly, it is beautiful and evocative of your lovely spirit. A real treasure.

It looks even cooler in person. It looked even cooler before I beat it regularly with my right elbow on the way to bathroom. Ahhhh, elbows.
Lindz! Cool! I typically dislike abstract art, but this is really cool! All shape-y and colorful! Abstract with definition.
Mommy like!
